Do you feel creatively blocked? Don't know where to start? Feeling dissatisfied and demotivated with your current job, and wondering how to move forward?

Let me tell you what's really going on: you've forgotten how to play.

The responsibilities of adulthood, the judgment of others and stress tend to paralyze us. The more we suppress our creativity, the harder it is to awaken it. Yet, it's within us. Every human being is creative by nature. We are a species of creators.

You need to relearn how to play.

Without Competition.

Without Comparison.

Without Performance.

Just play. Just be yourself.

How?

  1. Learn the rules of the game of creativity.

  2. Replace the productivity mindset with a playful one.

  3. Have fun, surprise yourself, be curious.

That's where the magic happens.

Your Questions, Answered

  • Small sketchbook of watercolor paper or mixed media paper (1 or 2)

1 medium size brush, with a pointed tip ! ex. angular, round, cat’s tongue, etc.

Paint of your choice (Watercolor, Ink, Acrylic, Oil, Gouache, Papers and Collage Medium, you choose!)

Paper towels, a brush basin or oil solvent tray, a pallet or pallet paper, and any other items you deem necessary.

  • You just need to download the full guide available at the top of this section in which you will find a suggested method to do the challenge, a road map to guide you through it as well as tips and tricks to overcome the obstacles waiting for you along the journey.

You can also just do it intuitively as you see fit. The objective is to train your creativity and painting skills by limiting yourself with using only the one and same brush you’ve decided to use and with trees as the chosen subject to paint.

  • It takes the time you want to. There is no time limit cause you should do it in a way that is sustainable for you with the constraints of your reality and schedule. I strongly suggest choosing a frequence or allocating a time for it regurlarly before hand in your agenda so you don’t forget about it, feel overwhelmed by the 100 number and slowly build up a habit out of it, a habit of creative playing time.

The objective is not to perform, it is to play and to learn.

  • No, experience is not a requirement because the challenge is meant to create experiences, to experiment, to learn and to developp our painting skills as well as our creative skills.

If you have the desire to learn the fundamentals and build your tool kit, you can enroll in my Complete creativity course in Painting that will teach you everything you need to know for developping your creative techniques and style with any paint medium.

    1. Download the Complete Oopsie Challenge guide on top of this section.

    2. Do the Creative Personality Quiz.

    3. Set up your supplies in a spot that is close at hand, in your eyesight and doesn’t require you much time to start painting. This way, you have more chance to remember doing it and have less excuses to not engage with it.

Tip : Watercolor is the most compact, fast to set up and does it constraint you with drying time if you are in an environment in which you are often disturbed.

    4. Decide on a frequence to paint and an allocated time that fits your rythm and available time.

    5. Choose only one color to start and break the page by doing any tree you see or imagine in your mind. Then, stick to the same color or add more and do one more tree.
